RULES
The Regatta will be governed by the International Sailing Federation ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing for 2005-2008, hereafter referred to as RRS, the prescriptions of the TTSA, and the issued Sailing Instructions. The regatta is classified as a Category C Event. Racing Rule 30 (Starting Penalties) shall not apply.
The proposed classes are as follows:
• Racing (Spinnaker)
• One Design (Spinnaker)
• Cruiser/Racer (Spinnaker or double headsail)
• Cruiser (Non-spinnaker, single headsail with pole)
• Charter (Non-spinnaker)
Note
Definition of spinnaker will be as specified in the present Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA) Rating Rule.
Handicaps
All classes will race under the current CSA Rating Rule. Boats entering these classes must have a valid CSA rating upon entry.
Charter Class
Charter Class boats shall be in the standard charter configuration (with standard rigging, sails, and equipment) as operated by Mooring, Horizons, etc. Poles, boathooks, oars or other such devices for holding out the headsail are not permitted.
One Design
One design fleets (eg J24, Melges 24 etc) require 3 or more boats to have their own class. One Design starts may or may not be combined with the other classes.
Class Splits
The Race Committee may split a class depending on the number of the entries and shall decide in which class a boat may race. The decision of the Race Committee shall be final.
ENTRIES
Eligible boats may be entered by completing and submitting the registration form available on the Regatta website www.sailweek.com or from TTSA Entry fee of US $150 per boat may be paid in advance according to instructions on entry form. Entry forms and payment must be submitted to the Committee Desk at the Crown Point Beach Hotel no later then 1800 hours on Saturday 10th May 2008. Late entries may be entertained at the discretion of the Race Committee. Sailing Instructions will be available from TTSA and on the Regatta Website from 31st March 2008.

Penalties for breaking rules of part 2
The penalty shall be in accordance with RRS 44.1 (two-turns penalty).
Scoring
The Low-Point Scoring System, RRS Appendix A, will apply. All races shall count and a boat's total score will be the sum of its scores for all races. Individual Day Results for the multiple race days for Racing and Cruiser/Racer classes will be calculated using the sum of the finishing points for all races sailed on the particular day.
GENERAL
The Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association (TTSA) and Angostura welcome all sailors to experience “the Spirit of Racing” at the Angostura Tobago Sail Week to be held at the Crown Point Beach Hotel at Store Bay, Tobago, from 11th to 16th May, 2008.
